China's High Speed Train

Who would have thought that China can beat all so called developed nations with world fastest train? Not once but twice with maglev based at Shanghai and now intercity train. During its test run, 394kmh were recorded while 350kmh will be its normal travelling speed. It will runs from Guangzhou to Wuhan in 2 hours ++ at the distance of 1068km. When Malaysia can have its own high speed intercity train? Times Of India

So India once again received another hot and exciting small bike called CB Twister. Its look is absolutely stunning albeit with only air cooled 110cc 4 stroke engine. It costs USD900 or roughly RM3000.

After spending billions to build double track from Rawang to Ipoh, Government finally announced the arrival of 1st express electric train called ETS. It was build by consortium of Hyundai Rokem and Mitsubishi valued at RM240 millions.
Funnily enough, KTM only ordered the train after double track project finished. So, diesel locomotives are currently being used as commuter train from Ipoh to KL that takes 3 hours journey compared to 1 hour 50 minutes with that new train. What kind of planning is that??
Why Pak Lah scrapped the double track project valued at 8 billion few years back? It almost double the original cost when new contractors being appointed recently. sic.

ETS Highlights:
- 240 millions for 5 trains with each one contains 6 coaches
- Can carry up to 300 pessengers
- Design speed at 160kph while maximum running capped at 140kph
- Ipoh – KL journey takes less than 2 hours

Many cheer our local boys in 125cc Elly and Zulfahmi with their Aprilia and Yamaha. They deserve a better chance if more concerted effort were done to groom world class racer. I think Tony Fernandes effort in Lotus F1 team is a huge morale boost to local motorsport industry as people like him is the hero in getting things done like what he did to AirAsia.
